The Pig Parade – Colourful Framed Pig Art Print

Description

The Pig Parade is a joyful and exuberant Giclée print reproduced from an original collage by British artist Susan Horsfield. A wonderfully lively gathering of pigs fills the composition, each with its own expression and personality, set against a striking palette of vivid pinks, warm ochres, greens and soft purples.

The original collage technique is an important part of the artwork’s character. Layered shapes, expressive line work and unexpected combinations of colour give the animals a wonderfully tactile, almost improvised quality. Look a little closer and there is even a cockerel perched rather cheekily on the back of one of the pigs, adding another touch of Susan’s warmth and humour to the scene.

Rather than portraying the animals in a conventional or overly realistic way, Susan captures something of their personalities — inquisitive, sociable, slightly mischievous and wonderfully full of life. The result is playful without being childish, with enough strength of colour and composition to make a striking piece of contemporary wall art.

Full of humour and individuality, The Pig Parade works beautifully in a kitchen, breakfast room, hallway or country interior, while its vibrant palette can bring warmth and personality to a more contemporary setting too. It would also make an unusual gift for pig lovers, farmers, countryside enthusiasts or anyone who enjoys distinctive animal art.

The original collage has been carefully reproduced as a fine art Giclée print on Hahnemühle German Etching paper, chosen for its softly textured surface and ability to reproduce the richness and detail of the original artwork.

Beautifully mounted and presented in a solid wood frame from sustainable sources, The Pig Parade combines fine-art print quality with Susan Horsfield’s unmistakable sense of colour, character and humour, a piece designed to bring pleasure to a room for years to come.
